# Romantic stories #

We all are sucker for romantic stories. Stories that have survived the hardest challenges to bring two people in love together. We all love to hear / read such stories – it restores our faith in the power of love. Here are a few romantic stories to warm your heart-
Donna Lou Baner recounts hers- One day in junior high, I went to the movies. I sat with friends behind a row of boys from our class. The boy in front of me turned around and planted a kiss on me. When I got home, my parents asked me about the movie. I drew a blank. I couldn’t remember anything after the kiss. I’ve been happily married to that boy for 41 years.

My first marriage ended in divorce. Although, I began to date again, but that failure stayed with me. After seeing a wonderful woman for several months, I told her that I didn’t think we had a future—I was still fragile from the breakup. She said, “If you’re too stupid to see I’m the best thing that ever happened to you, then go.” We just celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary because she was right. —Donald Ropson, Wisconsin.

Priyanka Prasad from Virginia confesses- being from a conservative Indian family, my parents and I spent years searching for a suitable match for me. On that journey was a friend who stood by me through thick and thin. In the 14 years that we went from classmates to best friends, I never once consciously thought of him as a lover. I tried remembering the exact moment I’d fallen for him by reliving all those moments that had made us laugh, fight, cry, and ache for each other. I could not recall any, however hard I tried. Then it all made sense to me at the altar on our wedding day. I had been in love with him all along.

Darlene Miller candidly shares her dilemma: I was caught between should I pursue my dream of becoming a nun or continue this relationship with my boyfriend? To decide, I gave up both him and cigarettes for the 40 days of Lent. On Holy Saturday, the final day of Lent, a knock came at the door. He stood there, holding out a cigarette for me. One deep drag made me dizzy. He caught me and helped me sit on the step. At that moment, wrapped in his arms, I knew I was never giving him up again.

Aren’t these the most romantic stories you ever heard?

Strap - Married couples share the touching ways they proposed and got engaged
Women usually love reading romantic stories and fantasize about how they would like to be proposed to. They love imagining their partners getting down on one knee and proposing with a huge ring in a romantic setting.

Dating and love confessions pages are full of the fantasies women experience. The fantasies range from quirky to tear-jerking - one woman imagined her disabled partner walking for the first time and managing to get down on one knee in order to pop the question.
A man confessed that he wanted his proposal to be special and romantic, so he decided to slip a ring on his girlfriend's finger while she was sleeping. She woke up to him asking for her hand in marriage.
Another young lover customized his proposal according to his partner's niche interests -which - happened to be Pokemon.
The romantic story of how you proposed will be told not just to friends but also to strangers for the rest of your lives. Hence, men and women in love try to make efforts to propose using romantic and foolproof proposal ideas.
A young lady arranged a surprise proposal for her 5 year long boyfriend with a street caricaturist. She had the caricaturist sketch a picture of both of them with word bubbles that said, "Will you marry me?" and "Yes!"
A clichéd but full proof romantic way of proposing is to go out for a night of dancing and requesting the DJ to pass on the mike to you so that you can dedicate a song and propose on the dance floor.
Another mushy mushy idea is to go for a long long drive, followed by a candle light dinner. Have a drink in the bar prior to the dinner. Get the hotel staff in loop and have candles, roses and champagne all set up in your hotel room – an easy but sure shot surprise proposal that can woo any woman for you.

Another idea to make your proposal to the list of top romantic stories for ever is to ask a friend take photos of you posing with posters that say, "will," "you," "marry" and "me." Make plans to meet your ‘special one’ on the D-day and before they reach the destination, text the photos in order.
